This place was absolutely beautiful all the way through. I love a good pine forest as it has the best of greens to offer. Many creeks leading to a large river ahead, and trails aplenty. If you're trying to unwind in peace and quiet, this is the place for you.
Lodging and campsites are available and restroom amenities are abundant. I will be back in the spring.
I didn't have signal with firstnet until left the area, this may apple to atnt as well so be prepared to be in total peace.
Such a gorgeous park and area to explore! The leaves were peak color and so breathtaking!!!
Stopped at the park office for my passport stickers and chatted with the park ranger. She was super friendly and even made me a copy of a helpful map of the state forests!
We stayed in Yurt 2. A great place to rest and relax, with access to lots of trails to hike on. The yurts have a stove and full fridge and freezer, as well as four single beds, two bunks. The yurt has a deck that overlooks the Clarion River, which is right down the hill. Dedicated outdoor water access, no internal plumbing or restroom. Outdoor portable restroom stationed just outside the yurt area, dedicated to the two yurts.
Drove 16 hours to camp at our usual site. Called the ranger ahead of the visit and asked how the trout were biting and they said they were. Showed up and fished for 2.5 days with no trout. Fishing was horrible and with three people you would think that something other than 4 inch smallmouth would be caught. The area is truly beautiful though. Crisp clear water. Saw Bald Eagle flying over the Clarion.
Have been coming here for years with my husband. We now come with our children and grandchildren for our yearly family vacation. Peaceful and relaxing. Great time making memories!
A stop to Clear Creek is a must for any adventure or outdoor person. The park has a lot to offer and it is maintained well. I enjoyed my hike with the streams and the wildlife on the hike. It is not hard to find.

Clear Creek State Park is a gem.
Especially recommended for families, great biking for the kiddos and lots of tiny leg suitable trails. There’s a pond, creek and a river. Campground is nice and alcohol free. Reservations are probably necessary in advance, this is due to everything I’ve said and most likely what all the other reviewers say. 5/5 for Pennsyltuckey!!!
